These terms apply to bookings made through puntacanaselect.com. Please read them before you book. If anything here is unclear, contact us at info@puntacanaselect.com before completing your booking.
1. Who We Are
Punta Cana Select is an online travel agency. We select and list excursions in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and we take your booking and your payment. The excursions themselves are run by independent, licensed local tour operators. We do not own or operate the boats, vehicles, animals or facilities used on the excursions we sell.
2. Booking and Payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars and are per person unless the excursion page says otherwise.
- Payment is taken at the time of booking through Stripe. We do not store full card details on our servers.
- Most bookings are confirmed immediately. If you book close to the departure date, your request may go to a manual availability check first. In that case no payment is taken until availability is confirmed with the operator.
- Your booking covers the excursion, date and party size shown in your confirmation. Where hotel pickup is included, the exact pickup time is confirmed after booking.
- You are responsible for giving us accurate contact details and hotel information. We cannot be held responsible for a missed pickup caused by details that were wrong or out of date.
3. Cancellations and Refunds
Our cancellation terms are set out in full in our Refund Policy. In summary:
- 24 hours or more before departure: full refund.
- Inside 24 hours: non-refundable, except where a medical certificate confirms illness, in which case a full refund applies.
- Weather preventing the excursion from running: reschedule or full refund.
- Cancelled by the operator: full refund.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
Refunds are returned to the original payment method. If the Refund Policy and these terms ever disagree, the Refund Policy applies.
4. Assumption of Risk
The excursions we sell involve physical activity and take place outdoors, on the water, in vehicles and around animals. Some carry risks that cannot be removed entirely.
Each excursion page states its own age, health, weight and suitability restrictions. You are responsible for reading them and for judging whether everyone in your party can take part safely. Please tell us about any relevant medical condition before you book. Operators may ask you to sign their own liability waiver and to attend a safety briefing before taking part, and may decline participation on safety grounds.
5. Limitation of Liability
We are responsible for booking your excursion accurately, for passing on the information you give us, and for dealing with you honestly and promptly if something goes wrong.
The excursion itself is delivered by the independent operator. They are responsible for how it is run, including their equipment, their vehicles and vessels, and the conduct of their staff.
We strongly recommend that you hold travel insurance that covers the activities you have booked, including medical cover and cancellation.
6. Events Beyond Our Control
Neither we nor the operator is responsible for failing to deliver an excursion where this is caused by events outside reasonable control. These include severe weather, sea conditions, natural events, strikes, civil unrest, road closures and government restrictions.
Where an excursion cannot run for a reason of this kind, our Refund Policy applies: you may reschedule or take a full refund.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic, and any dispute arising from them will be dealt with by the courts of the Dominican Republic.
8. Acceptance
By making a booking through this website you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms, our Refund Policy and our Privacy Policy, and that you are authorised to accept them on behalf of everyone in your party.
