Why it fits Lopesan guests
A good choice for families, couples and anyone who wants to leave the resort for part of the day without making the excursion the whole day.
The monkey encounter is the highlight, but the trip also gives you a small look at Dominican country life, with local produce and tasting stops along the way.

Half-Day Catamaran & Snorkeling
Why it fits Lopesan guests
This is one of the easiest water excursions to pair with a stay at Lopesan. The marine departure is from the nearby Bibijagua area, but you do not need to make your own way there. Transportation picks you up from the resort excursion meeting point and returns you to the resort afterward.
The morning and afternoon trips have noticeably different atmospheres.
Morning departure
Open to families, couples, solo travelers, honeymooners and other guests.
The atmosphere is generally more relaxed and family-friendly, but it is not a family-only trip.
Afternoon departure
A livelier, higher-energy atmosphere.

Choose this if you want something active but don't want to spend the whole day away from the resort.
You'll get off the main resort strip for a few hours of trails, mud, countryside and a cenote stop. It's a very different side of Punta Cana from the beach-and-pool routine.

Buggy, zipline and Monkey Land are combined into one long outing. It is not the tour to choose if you want to be back at Lopesan for most of the afternoon; this is the day you plan around the excursion.

- Minimum age 6 for the zipline. Children aged 6-12 ride as far as line 8.
- Minimum weight 20 kg (44 lbs), maximum weight 127 kg (280 lbs), maximum waist 112 cm (44 in).
- Closed-toe shoes, or sandals that cover the ankle - flip-flops are not allowed.
- The buggy driver must be at least 18 years old, with a valid license and at least one year of driving experience.
- Not suitable for pregnant guests, or guests with heart conditions, disabilities, or mobility limitations.
- Guests with severe peanut allergies, or a cold or upper-respiratory infection, cannot take part in the Monkey Land portion.

How pickup works at Lopesan
Lopesan has a designated excursion meeting point on the property, just outside the main lobby area near the parking lot.
You do not need to leave the resort or arrange your own transportation for a Punta Cana Select excursion. Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you the pickup details and the time you need to be at the meeting point.
If you're unsure where it is after check-in, hotel staff can direct you to the excursion departure area.
For the Half-Day Catamaran, transportation also starts from this meeting point even though the boat itself departs from the Bibijagua beach area. After the excursion, transportation returns you to the resort.

A few things to know before you arrive
You don't have to book every part of your vacation before flying to Punta Cana. But if you already know that you want to do an excursion, arranging it ahead of time gives you a chance to compare the experience, schedule and cancellation terms while you're still planning your trip.

Can I do an excursion without giving up a full resort day?
Yes. Monkey Land, the Half-Day Catamaran and ATV & Buggy are the main places to start if keeping part of your day at Lopesan matters to you.
Is the catamaran only for families in the morning?
No. The morning trip is open to families, couples, solo travelers, honeymooners and other guests. It simply has a more relaxed and family-friendly atmosphere than the afternoon departure.
Is the afternoon catamaran adults only?
Yes. The afternoon departure is the livelier option and is for guests aged 18 and over.
Do I have to travel to Bibijagua myself for the catamaran?
No. Although the boat departs from the Bibijagua area, your excursion transportation picks you up at Lopesan's designated excursion meeting point and returns you to the resort afterward.
Which excursion is best for children?
Monkey Land is a strong starting point for families because it combines the monkey encounter with a manageable outing and a small introduction to Dominican country life. The morning catamaran can also work well for families.
Which excursion is best if we want adventure?
ATV & Buggy works well if you want a shorter active outing. If you want a full adventure day, look at the Triple Adventure.
Should I book before arriving at Lopesan?
You don't have to, but booking ahead makes it easier to compare the excursion, schedule and cancellation terms before your vacation starts. It also means you'll arrive with your booking and contact details already sorted.
