Next up: a coffee and cacao plantation, where you’ll taste the real deal, straight from the source. Then comes the star of the show – Monkeyland itself, sprawled across acres of jaw-dropping mountain scenery. These playful, friendly squirrel monkeys have been raised by an expert animal-care team for decades, and they are completely at ease around people – climbing, hanging out, and practically begging to pose for your camera.

Sunscreen and insect repellent can’t be worn during the monkey encounter. The monkeys touch and lick guests, and the chemicals are harmful to them – so cover up with clothing instead, and apply everything once you’re done.

Nut allergies: Guests feed the monkeys by hand, and the food provided may contain nuts or seeds. If anyone in your group has a nut allergy, this tour may not be suitable – please contact us before booking.

Monkeys are curious and will investigate anything shiny or scented. Keep loose items, food and drinks packed away before you go in.

Monkey Land: common questions

Is this the same as “Monkeyland”?

Yes. Monkey Land and Monkeyland are two spellings of the same place, and this is the tour that visits it.

What does the price cover? Do I need a separate admission ticket?

The price includes admission to Monkey Land, the guided visit, coffee and cacao tastings, and hotel pickup and drop-off. No separate admission ticket is needed. Lunch, the photographer’s photos and gratuities are not included.

How long does the outing take?

Allow about five hours, including hotel pickup and drop-off. The overall time can vary depending on your hotel and the day’s pickup route. We confirm your pickup time after booking.

Where is Monkey Land?

Monkey Land is in the Anamuya countryside, inland from Punta Cana. Transportation is included, so you do not need to make your own way there.

Is it suitable for young children?

Yes. There is no minimum age. Children from 2 to 12 pay the child price and infants under 2 are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please read “Before You Book” above for the health and allergy restrictions, which apply to everyone.

Is hotel pickup included?

Yes. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included at no extra charge. Choose your hotel when booking, and we confirm your meeting point and pickup time afterward.

What happens after I book?

When your booking is confirmed, the confirmation page and your confirmation email show your booking voucher number and your pickup hotel. We then confirm your meeting point and pickup time. On the day, bring your voucher, printed or on your phone.

If you book less than 24 hours before departure, your booking is sent as a request. We check availability first, and you are not charged unless we confirm it.
